BBC Dragon, Sarah Willingham, ask the public to judge organisations’ social impact as part of Nectar Business Small Business Awards
A London-based app maker for people with communications difficulties; a furniture and equipment recycler from Hampshire; and a Kent -based distributor of surplus food to charities, are the three businesses make it to the shortlist of the 2015 Contribution to the Community Award at the nationwide Nectar Business Small Business Awards*.
BBC ‘Dragon’ and Small Business Awards judge, Sarah Willingham, is calling upon you, the public, to vote on which company makes the biggest contribution to the community between 8 September 2015 and 4 October 2015 on facebook.com/nectarbusiness.
The three shortlisted companies are:
Therapy Box Limited from London
Edu-Care Recycling UK from Portchester in Hampshire
FareShare from Ashford in Kent
Sarah Willingham says: “This year we received an astonishing number of entries into the Contribution to the Community Award which celebrates how a business’s success often goes beyond profit and loss, and takes into account the good that it does for the community around it.
“We’ve decided on a shortlist of three fantastic businesses who have demonstrated something really special about the way that they work. We now need your help to decide who should be crowned the winner.”
Each winning business will receive £2,000 cash and 50,000 Nectar points, as well as the opportunity to meet and receive tailored advice from Sarah at the Nectar Business Round Table and Awards event in November.
