Western Bowl is participating in a national program called Kids Bowl Free. This program allows children 15 and younger to bowl 2 free games every day (Monday-Friday) starting May 27th through August 31st. Young artists will use “frit paint” and accessory glass to decorate fused glass bugs with wire legs. Students will create 4 unique glass bugs of their own design in this introductory level class. Final Friday – 6-10pm - Pendleton Art Center 1310 Pendleton Street in Cincinnati. The Pendleton Art Center is home to the world’s largest group of artists under one roof. Over 200 artists come together at PAC to work and to show their masterpieces. There are 8 floors of studios to browse, as well as the Studio at 510, the Annex, and the Cafe Studios. Design and create your own fused glass fish using a variety of Bullseye Glass materials, to be added to the School of FISH in the gallery. Open to all students ages 5+, so bring the entire family anytime between 10am – 1pm.  Fish made during the Open House will be hung in gallery One One at Brazee Street Studeios after they have been fired. Visit the School of FISH and see how it grows! Reception will be held Friday, July 11, 2014, from 6-9 pm.  We will keep track of your name, so you can find your fish and take it home after the exhibition’s close, the week of July 28th. Build It! - The Betts House at 416 Clark St, Cincinnati, OH,  Ohio’s oldest brick home, built in 1804, is proud to host a new exhibit, Build It!, which offers fun activities on construction concepts for children. The exhibit, on loan from archKIDecture of Chicago, consists of nine modules presenting architectural subjects including roofs, tools, and shapes. Build It! encourages children to interact with each module, either on their own or by collaborating with other children or adults. Great American Backyard Campout: Saturday June 28th is the National Campout night!  Grab a tent and sleep under the stars in your own backyard, or take a little road trip to the EP “Tom” Sawyer State Park near Louisville to attend their campout event.  It’s a great excuse to try something new with the family and have some fun in your own backyard!  Visit the Great American Backyard Campout Website for more information.

Panegyri Greek Festival - June 27-29– 12 and under are free, $2/admission. Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Finneytown, Ohio. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Panegyri Greek Festival! Food, music, Greek culture and more!  The festival hours are: Friday June 27th from 5 PM to 11 PM, Saturday June 28th from 3 PM to 11 PM, Sunday June 29th from 1 PM to 8 PM. Admission price is $2 (children 12 and under free). A portion of the admission price will be donated to Cincinnati FreeStore-FoodBank’s Power Pack Program.

St. Veronica  Annual Festival - June 27, 28, 29.  The festival features live music, rides, gambling, food and beverages, a children’s tent and much more. Sunday is family day highlighted by a fried chicken or roasted pork dinner. www.stveronica.org

Cincinnati Museum Center:: Diana, A Celebration.  We had the chance to preview this event and it is FANTASTIC!  For any Diana fans and lovers of royalty, it is a must see!  More than 15 years after her death, Princess Diana’s memory still stirs interest and emotion. The award-winning exhibition Diana, A Celebration, which chronicles the life of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, will be on display at Cincinnati Museum Center from Feb. 14 through Aug. 17, 2014. This is the final showing for the renowned exhibition, which has been touring the world since 2003, before the items return to her sons in England to be preserved for future generations.
