Golden Sands Holiday Park
The secret to Golden Sands lies in its name. At the edge of the park, hop over a few dunes and discover mile after mile of yes, you guessed it Golden Sands. unspoilt beaches stretch in both directions and just down the coast are the popular resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness. Meanwhile the Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park is a perfect place for a family looking for a glorious summer holiday or even a half term get away. With its own coarse fishing lake and wide range of sports facilities and activities for the kids, Golden Sands is sure to be a big hit with all of the family.
Guests at Golden Sands have a wide range of accommodation choices that are designed to meet the needs of every type of family. With seven different choices of caravans ranging from Standard to Platinum your choice couldn’t be wider. Every caravan type comes in either a two bed roomed or three bed roomed configuration. One double room and two sofa beds in the comfy lounge area means you can sleep either six or eight people quite comfortably. As well as the lounge area each caravan has a fully equipped kitchen and a private shower and toilet. Some grades of caravans have slightly more space being 13 feet wide rather than the normal 12 feet and they do have fixtures and fittings that are more contemporary and luxurious.
Golden Sands is also pleased to welcome guests with special accommodation needs. They have a range of caravans that have adapted bathrooms and kitchens that meet the needs of wheelchair users. These caravans are also perfect for guests with registered assistance dogs.
Facilities & Activities at Golden Sands Caravan Park
It wouldn’t be a seaside holiday without swimming and Golden Sands has it all. The beach, with its miles of golden sands and plenty of space is perfect for many visitors but there is also a choice of pools as well. Newly refurbished the indoor and outdoor pools are going to be very popular with the children. The indoor pool is comfortably heated and has a sunshine roof that lets the natural sunlight flood in. There is also a large water flume that is sure to be very popular. The outdoor pool has also been refurbished and now sports different areas where the water is at different depths. It also has a spectacular water flume that will keep the kids coming back for another ride, time after time.
There is also a program of water based activities that will make it hard to keep the kids away from the fun. For the very youngest there are free water confidence activities designed to familiarise the youngest non-swimmers how much fun the water can be. For more confident swimmers there is a range of activities including Aqua Gliders, Aqua Jets and Water Walkerz.
If all that wasn’t enough there is a wide range of sports facilities that includes an all-weather multi-sports court, rope wall climbing – not for the faint hearted – and organised coaching for football archery and fencing. With crazy golf – come on, even Nick Faldo started somewhere, go karts and coarse fishing there is more than enough to keep everyone busy. If Mum and Dad are looking for a bit of time off there are organised Kids Clubs designed to keep the children active and interested in sports.
Golden Sands also has an extensive summer season program of entertainment that takes place morning, noon and night. FunStar production shows bring a glimpse of the West End into your holiday with shows such as Funstar Rockstar and Live @. The children are not forgotten either, Character FunTime shows featuring the Seaside Squad Pop Concert, DJ Ned’s Mash Up and Polly’ s Swim a Song are sure to be popular.
When it comes to feeding the family you have an on-site Spar shop and bakery where you can stock up with all the food you need to make good use of your caravan’s kitchen. On those nights when you fancy a well-earned night off the catering duty then head over to the parks newly refurbished seaside themed Cafe bar and Grill. For something slightly less formal there is the parks own fish and chip shop where they serve only the freshest fish with traditional chip shop chips. For the ultimate night off catering has to be a takeaway so head over to Papa John’s Pizza where each pizza is made fresh to order – Mamma Mia!
Golden Sands is in lovely Lincolnshire and with attractions such as the Cleethorpes Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens or the Cleethorpes light coast railway or the famous resort of Cleethorpes or Lincoln itself with its stunning cathedral there is plenty to see and do outside the camp as well.
