EVA AIR X HELLO KITTY
This recent Taiwan trip has been made possible by EVA Airways and the adorable Hello Kitty Shining Star Jet that I took . The journey to and fro was made sweet by my journey on the Hello Kitty plane~

Special thanks to EVA Air for the opportunity to board the feline plane and in addition, the chance to experience the Eva Elite Class also known as the Premium Economy class. ( which I had no idea till I checked in.)

All I can say is... enjoy the visuals!

No, don't worry, I will still throw some tips (?) when flying on a Hello Kitty Eva Air flight. (*Evil Smile*)

Checking in from Singapore

Anyways, that say checking in was fairly easy and your luggage will be tagged with a Hello Kitty label and of course, a Hello Kitty and Friends airplane ticket will be issued!

Other than that, there's no other exclusive Kitty experiences along the way till the boarding gate.

Shining Star
At the boarding gate, you can see the jumbo jet parked at the aerobridge and everyone who has came into the boarding area then went crazy snapping. Shining Star is the Hello Kitty Jet that flies between Singapore and Taipei Taoyuan. There are a series of different kitty jets in various kitty livery for different journey from Taipei.

Of course there are those non-fanatics who just happened to be boarding the plane to Taipei and remained nonchalant over the adorable appearance of the Kitty Jet!

The Eva Elite Class

Mixed feelings when I boarded. On one end, I love the luxe and exclusivity of the Eva Elite— no regrets, it was awesome to fly in such comfort.

On the other hand however, the EVA Elite lacks the color (?). Unlike the Economy Class with the green seats and the cover headrest in Hello Kitty, Eva Elite was only droned in the brown leather seats.
That was a part I missed. Other than than no qualms, the EVA Elite was served in exactly the same as the Economy class in terms of Hello Kitty galore.

Where Hello Kitty Hides

Of course my purpose was to snap all the cute kitty motifs spotted on the plane.

The pillowcase is the first item that greets you on your seat. Even designs of the pillowcases vary on different flights.

Hungry? Passengers can also have your meals ordered from the KAWAII menu ( nope I did't TAKE home. Mixed feelings now. :( )

Have I introduced to you the puke-bag  motion sickness bag is as shown below and kitty! Dang!

There were the yummies served for Elite Class. I think the meals with Economy is similar?

Even serviettes, and snacks are Hello Kitty designed and wrapped!
Cute not?

In the bathroom, as many have snapped, be greeted by Hello Kitty Toiletries!

The fan in me was just screaming in glee. Unfortunately the toiletries — soap, hand cream, hand wash, facial mist — are for communal use.

Then there's the oh-so-pretty kitty paper cups for rinsing.
I heard that people 'Kope' any of these cups. But I didn't. Now I do feel a tinge of regret for not "koping" the whole lot   some of it. Haha.

Yes, toilet paper too! printed on with Kitty's face and Eva Air's logo.

Selfies
Anyways, was I the only one so excited on-board the kitty plane? Apparently so, at least in the Elite Class, with mostly serious looking men and women. But ordinary folks like me just wanna snap at everything!
That just leaves me with ample time to take selfies with nobody watching! So~~

I had really wanted to take some photos of the economy class too but was too difficult with all the eyes staring in front.

The Happy Kitty Meal
This was the most anticipated portion on-board the Hello Kitty flight. Of course just don't expect HK food patterns on the plate.

In all pink and purple! Cutie!!!

My regret again. I thought it would be ridiculous to "kope" the utensils? But apparently I had latter heard people actually taking them home. Oh my I was so dense honest... I had not the right frame that I could have actually washed the spoon :(

I thought it would be a joke. Don't worry nobody will judge because everyone does the same! Just that now I am outright verbalizing out. Hahahaha. Too late for me but you can still make do.

After Ah-and-Ooohing and snapping endless on the set meal, time to tuck in!

The food, and it was my first time flying with Eva, Kitty plane or not, had my taste buds dancing. Below is the Braised chicken in curry sauce with steamed rice~~~
Spicy and flavorful yums!!

TIP
(read: Not a major-life-saver kind of tip)
Apparently in the world of Hello Kitty and when you are a customer on flight, don't be afraid of looking silly and just take away the utensils and keep them as a set! [ I only kept 2 without the spoon :( ] Okay,  kiasu-ism definitely rules. Whatever you want to keep, just keep! hahaha

Even now, 2 months down, I am still thinking — even as I am writing — about the things I could have kept ( legit items only of course).

Thing is - I didn't know about the current existence of POKER CARDS. Unfortunately I didn't see any cards distribution on my flight either on the way back to Singapore. Because according to a colleague it was mentioned, the crew gave out boxes of poker cards on the flight!! Like free-flow~ Could it be it was at the Economy class and I was not ? -_-||
Anyone took their poker cards before?

In Elite Class you are entitled to a Kitty Slipper ( in green). It's not anywhere sighted at all and you have to request from the crew.

#Windowpeep

On the journey to Taiwan as the sun was setting, this is the lovely view you will see.

Look out for the beautiful colors!

On the way back to Singapore, it was daytime and the colors are mainly blue skies and clouds.

In-flight Entertainment

The revamped in-seat audio video on demand (AVOD) boots a 15.4 inch touch screen that's updated with the latest entertainment boosts and allows passengers to listen to your favourite music, browse photos and play video from your personal devices. USB port is available at every seat. the 3D display system allows you to check flight information, weather conditions in a fun interactive manner.

Of course the ample leg-room space makes it so much more comfortable.

Talk about luxe flight experience.

Flying From Taipei Taoyuan

The Kitty experience starts after check-in at the counters at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2 ( which unfortunately didn't provide any Kitty luggage tag unlike flying from Singapore)

There is also a self-service check-in lounge, very pinkish!

Oh Yes, you can purchase 1 of these cutie model planes on flight.

These are some of the amenities on board

After Immigration check-in

These are the kitties stuff you can see before spotting a Hello Kitty shopping area.

And there, this is the Sanrio Kitty shop

This international kitty world clocks look absolutely adorable.

The only gate-boarding waiting area just besides the Sanrio shop with Hello Kitty theme.

Even the seats has Hello Kitty on it.

The kitty boarding area only exclusive to this gate.

Even has a children playground to it.  Basically a happy wonderland before you board your flights.

It was raining on the return flight and thus...

The Happy meal

Meal on the return flight was just as kawaii.

Roasted Herb Pepper Lemon Chicken served with potatoes was on the menu.

That's the end of my Eva Air Report! :) Wishing you a pleasant flight too~
