First off… HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY! With the year coming to an end, 2014 right around the corner, Christmas gifts officially passed out (except for Orthodox celebrators), resolutions for a new year about to kick in, everybody can look back on the year and pick out the highlight of their 2013. Mine, undoubtedly, was the announcement of the Disney acquisition of Star Wars and the first new release coming in 2015. If you’re like me, this is loaded on your computer  every time it’s turned on. As a self-proclaimed, and I would think also publicly-confirmed, humongous Star Wars fan… I can’t wait! The craziest part about it to me though, is how absolutely not alone I am in that boat.

Since the announcement of new Star Wars, fans have erupted with curiosity and ideas on the internet. Needless to say, expectations are really high. The universal sentiment from fans is, “Disney, please don’t blow this like George Lucas did with the most recent trilogy.” Pretty fair request if you ask me. When you take a look at how Disney is handling a franchise like The Avengers, it’s hard to imagine Mickey and crew crashing and burning the biggest cult story they’ve ever owned, which also happens to be arguably the biggest cult story in existence. It’s actually pretty visible they’re already doing it right.  There are 4 things for sure that we 100% know about Episode VII: the director, the release date, takes place after Return of the Jedi, and R2-D2 will be in it. Everything else is rumor. That’s pretty amazing we know so little in the age of virtually no more surprises. We THINK the old cast is signed on to return, but check IMDB, that’s still just a rumor too. Well, fans still can’t wait. Nor do we want to. All we want is more. On that merit alone, Disney has to be doing something right already, right?

Star Wars enthusiasts of all levels have come up with a plethora of scenarios of what the new movies should be.  Rumors are flying around about the plot line, the title, main characters, casting, villains, protagonists, planets, fringe characters, if it’s going to draw from any of the books, attempts at actually getting cast for a role, etc. The list goes on and on. Here’s even a rumored “leaked” storyline for Episode VII:

Storyline: Two 17 year old twins, a girl and a boy, are trained by their uncle Luke to be the greatest Jedi’s in the galaxy. Problems arise when the male twin turns to the dark side.

Jaina Solo – Female, 17 years old, lead. – Jacen’s twin sister, one of the greatest Jedi’s in the galaxy, trained by her uncle Luke Skywalker

Jacen Solo – Male, 17 years old, lead – Jaina’s twin brother, one of the greatest Jedi’s in the world. A loner who is constantly struggling with the idea of what’s right and what’s wrong. Starts to turn to the dark side. Full of conviction that what he is doing is the “right thing”. Will eventually become Darth Caedus.

Even Patton Oswalt jumped on board to create some crazy rumors with his Star Wars Filibuster bit from Parks & Recreation.  Check it out if you haven’t seen it.  Totally worth it.

Fans so badly cannot contain themselves for the coming of new Star Wars, they’ve even gone out of their way to make an actual movie trailer using video game footage and of course, web rumors.  This is only one of many.

What would a fake movie trailer be without movie posters to go along with it in tandem?  Well the internet is chalk full of fan-made movie posters too for Episode VII, based off the many rumors.  Wouldn’t you know it, one of them is RUMORED to be the actual first poster for the new Star Wars movie.  We’ll start with that one first and I’ll leave you to your own devices from there.  Within these movie posters below, contains just about every single rumor, “leaked” or otherwise, you can find on the internet that has anything to do with the upcoming new Star Wars trilogy.

Enjoy!
