It's Farmhouse Friday again and it's all about apples today.  Whether you're using them for decorating, baking or just plain eating them, I know they are one of my family's favorite fruit this time of year.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

My husband and our two girls and I took a little break last week and went up to Seattle for a couple days.  We stayed downtown and of coarse my favorite thing was to visit the Pike Place Market where I got this lovely bouquet. Their flowers are so amazing and very inexpensive.  Let's just say that if I lived close by I would be visiting often!!!

I love the pop of green from the apples mixed with my brown and white transferware dishes.

Who says apples have to be kept in the refrigerator?  I like to keep mine out to admire in either this wooden bowl or the enamel colander that sits on the counter. These dahlias are also from Pike Place Market in my favorite color....white!

I got the recipe for this apple dip from my sister-in-law years ago and it is one of my kids' favorites.  It's super easy with only three ingredients: 1 pkg.(8oz) cream cheese, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Mix it all together, cut up some apples and enjoy!

It is beginning to feel like Fall around here after an unusually warm and dry Summer.  The forecast is calling for rain and I'm hoping they are right. As much as I love sunny weather, we really need it to help stop some of the many fires in the PNW.

Have a wonderful weekend!
