In general organic products including produce are usually not processed using industrial solvents or synthetic food additives. For me, I love the way look and taste. Here are places around the Coachella Valley to find Organic produce.
1. Nature’s Health Food & Cafe, Palm Springs
Nature’s Health Food & Cafe is great because not only can you eat healthy, you can shop healthy too! Open seven days a week, you’ll find all of their products, including produce are organic. A great helpful staff is also part of the reason for a visit.
2. Harvest Health Foods, Palm Desert
If you’re new to the desert or a long time resident and you love organic, you’ll enjoy stopping by Harvest Health Foods. They have a great selection of raw and organic products including produce. A very knowlegable staff is also another plus!
3. Jensen’s Finest Foods, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert
Jensen’s stores have offered quality products since 1940. When you go in to shop, you’ll be greeted by employees, many of which have been with Jensen’s for years, that really are glad you stopped by. Organic produce is waiting for you and I have to say their produce departments are actually beautiful to look at!
4. Certified Farmers’ Markets, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta
When you think of a farmers’ market, you just think of healthy organic products. You won’t be disappointed with Certified Farmers’ Markets. You’ll find the markets in 3 desert cities. Remember they have limited hours and are mostly open just one day a week.
5. Palm Springs VillageFest, Palm Springs
VillageFest is a fun event every Thursday night until 10pm. Plenty of vendors offer everything from arts, crafts, food, and entertainment and great organic produce. Enjoy the festivities and do some produce shopping too!
