Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has announced the official contracts for players during 2016-17 cricket season. 30 national cricket players will be the part of the new central contract. Sri-Lankan cricket board have reduced money in the central contract for players but they have announced bonuses for players as their performances in the matches. It means if a player perform well in the ongoing series or match, he’ll be rewarded extra money from the board.
As per reliable sources board will reward 33% of its total income to players. Sri Lanka cricket’s new central contract is categorized into 5 categories and top category players will get base salary $125,000, $80,000, $60,000, $40,000 and $20,000 as shown in the table below. The below table shows that how Sri-Lankan cricket players will be compensated and paid.

Note: The above table shows the players basic salaries for different categories. Match result and individual performances will not affect this and Sri-Lanka cricketers will get this money for sure.
Main highlights of SLC new contract for performance related bonuses
If SL team manages to win a test match, 100% hike will be there in all players test match salary.
A great initiative by Sri-Lanka board to improve players performance as if a player manages to score a hundred or take 5-wicket haul in either test or ODI cricket, he’ll make extra money as board to pay $5000 bonus.
If player takes 5-wicket haul or scores hundred in T20I, he’ll get $2500.
Sri Lanka Cricket board also revealed the contract and salaries for domestic cricketers. As per our sources, 70 domestic players are included in the list and will be paid between Rs. 300,000 and Rs. 1.2 million in a year.
