Slut and the Falcon: I’d like to talk about two things that I enjoy: 1) Fanfiction and 2)...:

I’d like to talk about two things that I enjoy: 1) Fanfiction and 2) Psychology. (Note how Fanfiction comes first). But most importantly, I enjoy it when the two things come together. When fanfiction involves psychology or psychological profiling.

What I don’t enjoy, however, is when people use…

I take offense to two things in this post here:

1) Please feel free to tag my name and my fic. I can handle a dissenting opinion, I promise. and honestly I welcome the more critical reviews on occasion more than a complimentary one as it opens the way for discourse and makes me a better writer.

2) Please don’t assume I don’t know my psychologists. Some of them are actually very nice and let me out to roam the tidy grounds of my dappled sanitorium and even occasionally let me post on tumblr (and if you get that lyrical reference you get a lick of Regina’s moist red velvet cupcake) ;)

To explain, keep in mind that in this particular story Regina is in dire straights. It’s her version of ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’. She’s going a bit nuts over these dreams and that causes her to act slightly out of character. Her control is slipping, she’s desperate, and that is the only reason she would even ever consider sharing her inner thoughts with a cricket. Regina shut down the library in Storybrooke. Also, when she tried to read Freud’s book she took one look at the word ‘phallic’ and passed out from boredom.

Personally, I subscribe to Jungian interpretation and the theory of the collective unconscious and a shadow side.

As always, thank you for reading!
