Lois J. Norbert, 78 of Penn Twp., died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in UPMC East, Monroeville.
She was born June 18, 1935 in Grapeville, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Grace Sadler Croushore. Prior to retirement she worked as a glass cleaner and packer at Westmoreland Glass.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Jeannette, Senior Citizens Club of Greensburg, and the All Seasons Travel Club. Lois was a loving mother, grandma and great-grandma who always put everyone else first before herself.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Norbert, two sons, Donald Stanley Norbert, Jr. and Joseph Stanley Norbert and a sister, Ruth Ann Cottrill. She is survived by three sons; Nicholas Stanley Norbert and his wife Elizabeth of Oceanside, CA, Richard Stanley Norbert of Clarion and John Stanley Norbert and his wife Tracy of Penn Twp., three daughters; Irene Brissel and her husband Thomas of Silver Springs, FL, Sandy Hanson of Jacksonville, FL and Nancy Wilson and her husband Charles of Smithfield, VA, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Stephens of Waterfield, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Susan Luttner officiating.
