From the 26th to 29th May, The British International School of Kuala Lumpur was buzzing with the excitement of friendly competition as we played host to the FOBISIA Primary games.

Three days of competition in swimming, track and field, tee-ball, and football were carried out between seven schools from four different countries: The International School Uplands Penang, Dulwich College Seoul, The British School of Guangzhou, St Andrew’s Green Valley Pattaya, The British International School Beijing Shunyi, and Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School.

We made use of four fantastic locations: Shah Alam Aquatics Centre, The Panasonic Stadium, Our own New Camp, and the school itself for the gala dinner. Using large scale venues like this created a great atmosphere and added to the general excitement of the three days. Our spectators and parents were incredible. School chants could be heard at every race, and nobody dropped their spirit. We’d like to thank everyone who came and lent their voice to the crowd.

We’d also like to thank our own BSKL staff who made this all possible. The sports department for their hours of preparation, early mornings and late evenings, hours of coaching, and continued support; our admin team for organising everything behind the scenes, and our BSKL staff for lending their free time over the weekend to help out. Thank you all!
