The States are Andhra Pradesh/AP, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh/HP, Jammu& Kashmir/JK, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh/MP, Maharashtra, North-East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu/TN, Uttar Pradesh/UP, Uttarakhand, West Bengal/WB Postal Circles are engaging these Postal Asst and Sorting Assistant-PA/SA jobs. The PA/SA-Postal Asst, Sorting Asst posts Aptitude Test Pattern and Syllabus for the Exam:
Pattern of Examination: The Aptitude Test for 100 marks in a duration of 2 hours(120 minutes) time only for answer all 100 Questions, each Question carry 1 mark each for correct and there is no Negative Marking for this PA/SA Examination 2014. The Aptitude Test conduct in 2 Papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2.
PAPER-1: There are 4 Parts in this Paper-1, Part-A, B, C, D. Each Part give 25 marks with 25 question in each part. Syllabus for this Aptitude Test and Part wise details as follows.
PART-A/Syllabus: GK-Questions on Current Events, Sports, History, Geography, Basic Economics, General Politics, Indian Constitution, Science Environment, etc..
PART-B/Syllabus: Mathematics of Matriculation Standard Syllabus which may Number System, Simplification, Decimals, Corrections, Simple and Compound Interest, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mentruation, , Time &Work and Time&Distance, etc.
PART-C/Syllabus: English Grammar(Prepositions, Adverbs, Conjunction, Direct/Indirect Speech&Plural, Tenses, Antonyms/Synonyms, etc.
PART-D: Reasoning and Analytical Ability.
PAPER-2: Computer/Typing Test- This Typing Test in 30 duration of time for 15 minutes for Typing and 15 minutes for Data Entry, 1 passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi typed with a speed of 30 w.p.m. Test in Data entry will be of some figures and letters each carrying equal marks on Computer. This will on Computer key board, not on Typewriter.
