June saw the launch of an exciting new website for one our clients, Decorative Aggregates. The site is the culmination of much hard work from our creative team and the staff over at Decorative Aggregates. Here at Evoluted we very much view projects as a two way process and it's great to work with clients who enjoy immersing themselves in the development cycle. Such close interaction always facilitates the best possible results and this was no exception.

Decorative Aggregates possess over thirty years of industry experience and are at the forefront of supplying landscaping products both locally and nationwide. They offer an impressive range of gravels, slates and aggregates to both the trade and domestic customers alike.

Decorative Aggregates approached us because they were looking to improve their online presence, as their existing website had been online for a number of years. It was time for a refresh and we helped them move to the next level.

The resulting website included a custom graphic design and a bespoke implementation of our own in-house content management system. As with the majority of our projects these days, we also incorporated a responsive layout, which automatically resizes appropriately to the size of user's device.

The stand out features of the website includes a postcode based delivery system, which calculates shipping costs against a combination of distance and product quantities. There are some tools such as a gravel calculator which helps customers work out how much gravel is required for their job and also a sample request system so customers can be sure they are happy with their choice of materials.

The real power behind the website lies in the administration facilities we developed specifically around Decorative Aggregate's internal processes. The team are able to manage all website information such as product categories, product information and pricing through an easy to use interface. On top of this they are also able to manage and process all orders generated by the website.

Following the launch of the website, Decorative Aggregates have already seen a noticeable increase of online orders from both existing and new customers alike. More significantly, a large proportion of these orders are now being placed via mobile devices and tablets. This can be attributed to the new responsive layout, which makes it super easy for customers to place orders on the move.
