She might be 74 but you’d never mistake Kim Woodburn for a timid, elderly lady – especially after her most recent interview!
The feisty TV cleaner ended up having a war of words with This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield over her behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother.
Phil quizzed her about what she thinks when she looks back at the footage to which Kim admitted that she was sorry she had used the ‘F’ word but that was it.
She insisted that she was goaded to those reactions by her housemates who she branded ‘cowards’ and ‘nasty pigs’.
The How Clean Is Your House? star believes that arriving late to the show was her downfall but Phillip was quick to counteract that claim by saying it didn’t happen that way for Chloe or Jessica who also came in late.
Kim replied: ‘They weren’t people that wanted to say a word out of place. They wanted to put up with it and I don’t put up with it.
‘Phillip, you were not in there, I know what I went through.’
Holly, who looked nervous of the formidable woman sitting opposite her, finally asked her why she didn’t leave if she hated it so much.
‘Why should I go?’ Kim fired back. ‘And lose all that money, massive sums of money for those bums. Would you lose a house?’
When Phillip pressed her on how much she earned she retorted that it had nothing to do with him before turning the question onto him. He responded the same way she did.
Kim was especially vitriolic about fellow housemate Nicola McLean.
‘She caused everything. A nasty piece of work. When you have seven or eight people that are frightened to offend you… and she’s a force to be reckoned with.
‘But she hasn’t reckoned with me yet.’
When Phillip said it sounded as if she wanted to fight with her, Kim replied:
‘I don’t want to be bossed around by that stupid woman. I was employed by Channel 5 and I said to Channel 5, if you put me in there, I never look for trouble. But if you bring it to me I will crucify you!’
She didn’t think much of Coleen Nolan – who eventually won the show outright – saying she had been nice to her face before ‘pulling me apart’ behind her back.
‘I know Coleen and she’s a nice person,’ Phillip said.
‘She’s a horrible person,’ Kim roared back.
‘You’ve got a long time to work on television, I’m 74, if I never got another television show, I couldn’t give a toss! You see, I’m not a diplomat like you. And I am telling you the truth.’
The septuagenarian believes Jedward should have won the show because they were themselves throughout.
And while she said she had no regrets, she warned Phillip not to try to bully an apology out of her.
Phillip said, ‘Are you saying that we are bullying you?’
After trying to tell her that he and Holly were just doing their jobs, Kim shot back:
‘No you’re not Phil, you big phoney.’
While viewers might have been left uncomfortable by the icy atmosphere as the show went to a commercial break, Phil assured everyone that Kim left them in good spirits!
