Geri Horner who gave birth to her baby son on Saturday morning has paid tribute to the late, great George Michael with his name.
Reports are claiming that the former Spice Girls singer named her newborn boy Montague George Hector in homage to her close friend George.
According to The Mirror a source revealed, ‘Geri wanted George to be a part of Monty’s life, so she felt it only fitting that her newborn have a middle name after the star.’
The 44-year-old gave birth to her first son with her husband Christian Horner almost one month after the Wham! singer’s tragic passing on Christmas Day.
George and Geri reportedly became friends many years ago, with Haliwell previously admitting she did not realise he was gay so she tried to make a move. The Careless Whisper singer famously provided support to the redhead following her decision to leave The Spice Girls.
She previously said he was her ‘only celebrity friend’ apart from her fellow bandmates.
