One of the most disturbing food trends of last year was Burger King’s A1 black bun Halloween Burger.
But sticking with the idea of a coloured bun, its latest creation is the bright red Angriest Whopper now available in Irish branches.
This time, hot sauce is baked into a bun, with jalepeños and ‘angry onion petals’.

Burger King’s flavour-infused coloured buns started in Japan with the Premium Kuro black burger and followed more recently in 2015 with the red Samauri burger.
Last September, the fast-food chain’s restaurants around the world, debuted the Halloween Whopper sandwich with BBQ sauce baked into the pitch-black bun.
So far, the bright red bun is having a mixed reaction online.
