A stunning mountain landscape was the backdrop for today’s romantic white wedding taking place in Park City, Utah, and my goodness it’s breathtaking! A neutral color palette of white, gold, and silver is absolute perfection against the lush green mountains, and Pepper Nix Photography captured it all beautifully! The lovely bride, Whitney, is here with us today to tell us more about her elegant wedding:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My wedding planner, Meredith Parsons, Bluebird Event Destination Management. I got engaged in March and married in June and Meredith pulled all of the details together. She executed my vision perfectly. She is a consummate professional in an industry of divas.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I deferred to Meredith and the vendors she had report with for the most part. Based on my quick engagement I also delegated. My Dad is an avid and excellent photographer, so he hired Pepper Nix, the quartet that played before and during the ceremony was important to my mom, so she hired them (I honestly never heard them before the ceremony) and my brother selected all of the candy for the candy bar.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I cannot say I really had an inspiration. I knew that I wanted a clear tent because I love the feeling of being outside, but I did not want to have an issue with the early June weather. I wanted a very neutral palate with silver and gold and lots of candles.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

It is hard for me to pick one single favorite thing, the whole night was so magical. It is really amazing to have so many people you know and love in one place at the same time because of you. My husband and I took dance lessons and did not tell anyone, it was really fun to do our surprise dance.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My advice to any future brides would be to delegate what you can and are willing to not micromanage and to let go of the things that are not important to you. For example I don’t like or see a point in doing a guest book. So, I didn’t do one and I didn’t tell anyone that was my decision because I knew someone would buy some ugly cheap thing I didn’t like. No one noticed there wasn’t a guest book.

Wow, can you believe this wedding was planned in just a few short months?! So gorgeous! I love the neutral color palette filled with metallics. And Whitney’s advice to delegate and not micromanage is so very important to remember when planning your wedding- especially when your time is limited.

So tell me- are any of you going with a more neutral color palette like this one for your own wedding? Or will you be going bold and colorful? I would love to hear!
