This darling Tennessee wedding from Nyk + Cali Photography has tons of sweet country charm. A coral and “cashmere” color palette is carried throughout the details beautifully, including the bridal party attire and floral arrangements. The lovely bride Sara is here to give her planning insight:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Despite all the typical nerves that come with planning a wedding, our venue, Historic Cedarwood, made the process simple, enjoyable, and beyond what we could have hoped for! The venue uses a variety of vendors in the Nashville area all of which are “top notch” at what they do. Cedarwood helped us plan every detail of our day. We knew that they would bring together everything we wanted for wedding and make it look good. Nyk and Cali did an amazing job capturing so many sweet moments from the day- they were SO fun to work with!

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

As for design and inspiration, I went for a sweet, country, and classy wedding. My colors were a mixture of coral and cashmere (both by Waters) and I loved all the summery accents that we were able to tie in with the bouquets and flower arrangements. (The florist at Cedarwood is incredible!) Throughout the venue were countless photos of Matthew and I that allowed our guests to peak into our past from childhood to dating to engagement.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about the wedding was our ceremony. Our pastor, Rev Aaron Bryant, communicated the picture of our marriage as one that represents Christ and the Church and the relationship we have with Him. At our reception we cherished each moment together and danced the night away with family and friends. We loved watching our guests enjoy the night over food, drinks, conversations, and dancing.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My advice to other brides is to not lose sight of the meaning of marriage in the midst of planning. The decisions and endless “to do” lists can be overwhelming, but nothing apart from Christ can provide the stability and security needed for a lasting, enjoyable marriage. Rather than trying harder to be a good wife, seek after what is truly fulfilling so that you can freely love your husband out of the overflow of your heart!

Wonderful perspective, Sara! How gorgeous is their historic venue? Love it. Speaking of love, did y’all get a good look at those oversized L-O-V-E letters? Now that a detail to love. Brides, as you continue to plan your wedding, what is the one detail you can’t do without? I’d love to hear!

Happy Planning!

Carlee
