Filled with bright colors and personal details, this Nashville wedding photographed by The Collection that takes place at Historic Cedarwood is a beautiful mix of country and vintage style. Cowboy boots, birdcages, lace, and burlap are just a few of the elements that help carry out the unique country vintage style.  And the lovely bride Meredith was kind enough to tell us all about her wedding planning experience, so sit back and enjoy this lovely wedding!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Historic Cedarwood helped me most in the wedding planning process; their exceptional staff was truly with me each step of the way in planning the details of our special day.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

A likable, friendly, competent wedding planner was certainly on the top of my list for putting my visions into action for my wedding day. The vintage atmosphere of the venue was also a huge selling point.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My inspiration for our Nashville wedding in a barn setting was a mix of “elegant vintage” and “pure country.” Combining the two ideas really added an element of intrigue to the feel of our wedding. It was also important to me to in some way incorporate “Italy” into our wedding details, as my husband and I moved to Italy immediately following our honeymoon for his 3-year military assignment there.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about my wedding was the historic altar arch (beneath which we got married) and pews that came from the old Ryman theater; I thought it added such a rich feel of history to our Nashville ceremony.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My best piece of advice for other brides is to relax and enjoy every moment of planning your wedding….. After all, if you do it right, this time in your life only comes around once, and you want to cherish all the memories, even the less-than-perfect ones!♥

I love the combination of country and vintage styles- it’s so beautiful! And the personal details are my favorite of course- especially the tables named after places in the couple’s new home, Italy!

Are any of you going to be incorporating something personal in your details? What will you be doing?
