UCAM HiTech, Sport & Health Innovation Hub
El Prof. Dr. D. Alberto Escarpa, Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Alcala (UAH) and Principal Investigator and founder (in 2003) of the “Analytical Miniaturization and Nanotechnology” (MINYNANOTECH) research group, will give the conference title “(Electro)chemical (bio)sensing in micro-size environments”.
The event is organized by the UCAM Chair of Chemical Sensing, which is led by Professor Dr. Maria Cuartero and Professor Gaston Crespo. Their research activities are linked to the UCAMSENS unit: the unit for chemical sensors. UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit at UCAM that investigates the digital transformation of key domains such as health, sports, nutrition, and the environment, through the use of (bio)chemical sensors based on advanced principles of electrochemistry and imaging. Currently, the UCAM-SENS unit is composed of three main themes: (i) wearable sensors for sports and health, (ii) micro- and nano-chemical sensors, and (iii) fundamental research in electrochemistry for new concepts of chemical detection. UCAM-SENS is supported by the Research Vice Chancellor's Office at UCAM.
