Team and Culture Description:

We are seeking a results-oriented and service-driven Director, Global

Payroll Manager who has significant experience with electronic payroll processing, dealing with payroll servicing companies and managing vendor relationships. As Director, you will manage a team of two (2) global payroll analysts and partner with internal and external parties to accurately process pay for the Americas region. The ideal candidate should have strong influencing, relationship building and collaboration skills, exercise solid judgement and possess the ability to work with various partners, including HR, Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and HRIS, to maintain

strong overall governance of the payroll process. This person must be a hands-on leader and be able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.

Scope of Responsibilities:

* Oversee all aspects of payroll management including processing, tax and benefits compliance and reporting, SOX compliance for the payroll function.

* Manage the payroll processing through outsourced teams for 3,400 employees in 19 countries, organized into three regions - the Americas (i.e., North America and LATAM), EMEA and APAC.

* Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and serve as liaison between employee and payroll service providers; educate and counsel employees on how to use employee self-service tools.

* Manage the relationship with payroll providers to be sure that SLAs are met and that the full benefit of services provided are realized, including the preparation, analysis and maintenance of all payroll-related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings.

* Take point on internal communications to employees and stakeholders and serve as an escalation point.

* Develop and implement payroll processes, policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls, efficiency and a great employee experience.

* Support Accounting services provided to ensure all payroll activities are posted to the general ledger and payroll accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.

* Work with internal partners to facilitate and improve the payroll processes, including leave of absence, employee benefits, etc.

* Address customer needs. Understand specific business requirements for payroll-related transactions. Set requirements and processes and work with systems vendor, when applicable, on coding changes.

* Review and monitor payroll tax information to ensure accuracy. - Provide ad-hoc support and services as needed.

Job Description:

* Experience with Workday, ADP, Ultimate/UltiPro preferred. - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

* Strong analytical skills.

* Strong customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and financial information to a non-technical audience.

* Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred), both spoken and written.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (in lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in the payroll field, of which 3-5 years were leading a team and/or overall payroll process accountability)

* Experience managing payroll through third-party vendors strongly preferred.

* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred. Location: Chicago IL preferred
