The good news is — to use Quipper’s flagship app you need not be fluent in English; it has enabled Bahasa as one of its default languages Cheer up students, as Quipper has finally set its mark in Indonesia. This UK-based online education startup aims to help local students to learn online through its latest app, the Quipper School. This app becomes another Quipper’s flagship app after series of previous products, including the Quipper Quiz, Quipper Courses, StraightAce, and Gakumo. Good news is, you don’t have to be fluent in English to utilise the app, since Quipper has enabled Bahasa as one of its default languages.

Quipper School itself, which serves online assignment distribution, is claimed to fit the Indonesian education curriculum. Various subjects are available, ranging from Bahasa Indonesia, English, math, to nature and social sciences. Unfortunately, only senior high school students (10th to 12th grade, according to the Indonesian education system) can benefit from this app for the time being.

There are two types of services that Quipper School provides: the Quipper School Link for the teachers and Quipper School Learn for the students. The first service lets teachers distribute assignments or homework to their students as well as monitor their academic development online via their own mobile, while the latter allows students to submit their assignments and homework online. Students may also purchase various subjects that they need by paying an amount of coins.

As being reported by TechInAsia in last March, Quipper’s decision to enter Indonesia is indeed one of its attempts to expand its business, particularly after being injected with US$5.8 million of investment by a group of startups.
