SEC Network Takeover (#SECNTakeover) continues Sunday, July 5, with the LSU Tigers taking over the national television network for 24 hours. With the help of the Alex Bregman, LSU baseball player and the No. 2 pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, the Tigers selected 13 marquee television events from the vault* to relive with fans.

2015 Florida vs. LSU (Gymnastics): A record crowd of 12,217 inside the Maravich Center witnessed the No. 3 Tigers take down second-ranked Florida in a display of high-quality gymnastics from both squads. LSU senior Rheagan Courville led the way with her record-tying 25th career all-around title.
2007 Virginia Tech vs. LSU (Football): LSU scored on four of its first five possessions and the Tiger defense didn’t allow Virginia Tech to cross midfield until the third quarter in a 48-7 victory over the ninth-ranked Hokies in Tiger Stadium. In a game that saw LSU dominate in all phases, the Tigers raced out to a 24-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a contest that was billed as a defensive battle.
2014 LSU vs. Texas A&M (Volleyball): On the road in a hostile environment, the LSU volleyball team looked to keep its double-digit winning streak alive at Texas A&M in what turned out to be a barn-burner finish in Reed Arena.
2013 Georgia vs. LSU (Women’s Basketball): Two-time All-SEC First-Team performer Theresa Plaisance leads LSU to a gritty 62-54 victory over No. 9 Georgia in the program’s annual “Pink Game” to benefit breast cancer awareness. The Lady Tigers were masterful at the foul line down the stretch to secure the eight-point win.
2002 LSU vs. Arizona (Men’s Basketball): LSU had some memorable games against Arizona in the 1990s and early 2000s, but none more notable than the early Christmas present John Brady and the Tigers gave fans when it knocked off the No. 1 Wildcats, 66-65, at the Maravich Center. The game was nationally televised on ESPN2, and Dick Vitale was in the house. Ironically, it was Vitale was on the headset for the game known as Shaq’s coming out party in 1990 versus Arizona.
2007 LSU vs. Florida (Football): An epic battle of two college football heavyweights, LSU willed itself, behind the play of Jacob Hester and the gutsy play calling of Les Miles, to a 28-24 win over seventh-ranked Florida in Tiger Stadium.
2015 SEC Golf Championship: LSU’s men’s golf team clinches its 16th SEC title all-time with a three-shot victory over Vanderbilt and South Carolina. With SEC Coach of the Year Chuck Winstead and All-SEC performers Stewart Jolly, Brandon Pierce, Eric Ricard and Zach Wright leading the way, the Tigers fired a winning score of 13-under par 827 to win their first SEC title since 1987.
2015 LSU vs. Kentucky (Women’s Basketball): LSU topples its second Top 15 opponent in four days as the Lady Tigers outgun Kentucky in a high-scoring affair. Sheila Boykin tied her career-high with 14 points and added 11 rebounds to collect her third double-double of the season.
2015 LSU vs. Florida (Softball): Looking to even its series against the top-ranked and defending national champion Florida Gators, the Tigers thwart a late-inning comeback bid with a wild finish you have to see to believe.
2014 LSU vs. Kentucky (Men’s Basketball): The roads were covered in ice and travel conditions were hazardous on the night of Jan. 28 when LSU and No. 11 Kentucky met in ESPN’s Super Tuesday contest. Brad Nessler dubbed the Maravich Center, the “Ice Dome” and some 3,600 students stuck in the dorms were enticed to come cheer the Tigers on. Coach Johnny Jones and the Tigers got them going early and went onto an 87-82 win as Johnny O’Bryant III fueled the Tigers with 29 points.
2014 SEC Baseball Tournament: LSU vs. Florida: The Tigers had their eyes set on a second straight SEC Tournament championship against a feisty Florida team. LSU senior Sean McMullen delivered the clutch two-out, two-run homerun to lift the Tigers to victory.
2011 SEC Football Championship Georgia vs. LSU: Tyrann Mathieu ignited undefeated and top-ranked LSU with a first half punt return for a touchdown as the Tigers completed the school’s first 13-0 regular season in school history with a 42-10 win over Georgia
2015 LSU vs. Texas A&M (Baseball): In a matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2, an unlikely hero emerged to provide late-game theatrics and send the Alex Box Stadium crowd into a frenzy. Pinch-hitting DH Danny Zardon ripped a walk-off single down the left field line to give LSU the thrilling win.

The SEC Network Takeover is a two-week programming initiative dedicated to airing programming selected by Southeastern Conference schools. All 14 schools will craft their own 24-hour schedule which may include classic games, films, ESPN original content and some school-produced content.
