Next Generation of College Athletes Compete at Elite Events

The Opening Features a Glimpse into College Football’s Future

NIKE Peach Jam, Adidas Uprising and Nationals Showcases College Basketball’s Next Wave of Athletes

2015 GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff Begins 2015-2016 Season

ESPNU presents the third annual Summer of Next Presented by GEICO, a series of events featuring the nation’s next generation of college athletes across four sports.  The annual summer programming begins with the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game (July 3) and continues with The Opening (July 9-10), the EYBL Finals at NIKE Peach Jam (July 12), Adidas Uprising (July 26), Adidas Nations (August 3), American Legion Baseball World Series (August 17-18), and the High School Football Kickoff (August 28-30).  Overall, Summer of Next will feature more than 20 games, 60 hours of programming, and hundreds of elite student-athletes.

Summer of Next Events

Under Armour All-America Lacrosse at Towson University in Towson, Md.
When: July 3  at 8 p.m. on ESPNU

Top high school seniors, selected by Inside Lacrosse Magazine, compete in prestigious lacrosse event.

The Opening at the NIKE World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon
When:July 9 and July 10 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU

Elite high school football players take part in five-day camp presented by NIKE.

The 7ON tournament’s preliminary rounds and championship will be televised.

The Elite 11, Lineman Challenge and NFRC Championship will be televised.

Matt Schick, Tom Luginbill, Craig Haubert, Mike Bellotti, Trent Dilfer and George Whitfield will be a part of the telecast.

EYBL Finals at NIKE Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C.
When:  July 12 at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on ESPNU

Twenty four teams comprised of the nation’s elite high school basketball players compete in a tournament which culminates on ESPNU.

Both semifinals (July 12 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) and the championship (3 p.m.) will be televised.

Numerous players on the ESPN 100are expected to participate

Notable alumni:Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter and LeBron James.

Adidas Uprising in Las Vegas, Nev.
When:July 26 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on ESPNU

Teams comprised of nation’s top high school basketball players participate in the finals of a national tournament.

The showcase game will be televised (4 p.m.) followed by the championship game (6 p.m.).

Numerous players on the ESPN 100are expected to participate.

Notable alumni:James Harden and Marcus Smart and event was previously called the Adidas Super 64.

Adidas Nations in Los Angeles, Calif.
When:August 3  at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on ESPNU

Camp for elite high school basketball players from the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and Latin America.

Players learn from current and former NBA players, college players and other respected ambassadors of basketball.

ESPNU will televise the third place game (7 p.m.) and the championship game (9 p.m.)

Numerous players on the ESPN 100are expected to participate.

American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C.
When:August 17 at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and August 18 at 7  p.m. on ESPNU

Nation-wide summer baseball league culminates on ESPN, with both semifinals and championship games televised

Elite high school baseball players team up with other in their regions for play throughout the summer.

Programming note: The entire preliminary rounds of the tournament (14 games) will be carried exclusively on ESPN3

When:August  28-30 across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU

ESPN begins the 2015 high school football season with a 10-game slate

33 Ranked Players in the ESPN 300

10 States, Nine 2014 State Champions, Including Three Matchups of State Champion vs. State Champion

Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Penn State Commits to Participate
