As a proud born and raised Seattleite, I feel like I can safely say on behalf of the PNW and beyond, that we are all thrilled to see Bumbershoot’s much anticipated 45th anniversary. Bumbershoot, now one of Seattle’s largest traditional touchstones, is a unique and contemporary music and arts festival that brings thousands of people from across the country to the beautiful city of Seattle every Labor Day weekend.
It takes place annually in the heart of Seattle at the Seattle Center, a 74-acre parks, arts and entertainment center, which of course includes Seattle’s iconic Space Needle.
This is quite a special year for Bumbershoot because now partnered with AEG Live and One Reel to create one of the most diverse and entertaining music line-ups we have yet to see.
Loaded with artists such as Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd, Faith No More, Chance The Rapper, and many more, AEG’s resources and musical connections has no doubt provided an incredible lineup.
No, not just an incredible lineup, an absolutely marvelous one because this year’s booking contains heaps of electronic dance music from some of the best in the business. With EDM artists including Zedd, Bassnectar, Flosstradamus, Flying Lotus and so much more, any type of EDM lover is bound to find something that floats their boat.
With one of the biggest lineups Bumbershoot has blessed us with, it is only fitting that they will be hosting two main stages for the first time ever.
