Exhibitors wait to compete during the Amateur Versatility class at the 2013 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress has added new eight classes for 2014. “The Congress strives to be responsive to trends in the industry. The Tri-Chairmen are excited to offer more classes for our exhibitors and to give more people an opportunity to show at the Congress,” said Executive Director, Dr. Scott Myers.

Small Fry Division-Equitation and Trail

Small Fry Trail and Small Fry Equitation have been added to the Small Fry division. A Small Fry High Point Award was created for the exhibitor accumulating the most points in the four Small Fry classes, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Equitation and Trail.

Green Trail- Junior and Senior Divisions

Green Trail will be split into Junior and Senior divisions.

Ranch Horse Pleasure-Amateur Division

An Amateur division of Ranch Horse Pleasure will be added.

Congress Stallion Challenge-Yearling Division

Yearling Stallion, Yearling Mare and Yearling Gelding classes will be added. In 2014, weanling and yearling classes will be held with concurrent with AQHA classes.

Amateur Versatility will not be offered at the 2014 Congress

The All American Quarter Horse Congress is the world’s largest single-breed horse show, with over 20,000 entries in 2013. Held at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, the show attracts 650,000 people to the area, and generates $180 million for the Central Ohio economy. The All American Quarter Horse Congress is hosted by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association, a state affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association.
