The health supplement company Simply Naturals is on a mission to get more plant-derived minerals into the diets of everyone Worldwide. Their aim is to mineralise more than One Million households by 2020.
Its range of supplements, called Sizzling Minerals, contains three times more minerals than what is, on average, contained in modern day foods. These minerals are also plant derived, which means they are more effective in the body than the metallic minerals that are found in standard mineral boosting supplements found in shops.
“Plant derived minerals are essential to achieving optimum health and wellbeing,” says Simply Naturals Managing Director Peter Willoughby. “The problem is, we simply don’t get enough of them. Even when we eat a balanced diet full of natural, fresh products, the mineral count is too low.

Scientists believe that millions of years ago, the earth’s soil contained as many as 80 minerals. Over millennia this has been whittled down to around 18. There are multiple causes for this including erosion, industrial farming practises, and pollution.
