For nearly 21 years, Caruso’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria has been a local tradition, offering full Italian dinners, outstanding pizza and casual sandwiches.

Everyone knows that Caruso’s has everything you could want for lunch, dinner or get-togethers with friends. The menu has a wide range of choices, whether you are hungry for a complete Italian dinner with salad and bread, or you want something quick and casual.

“It’s popular for lunch with the lunch special with a half sandwich, fries and soda,” says owner Pietro “Pete” Spatafora. “And on Wednesday and Sunday, we have pasta night for just $7.99.”

That includes a selection of great pasta dishes that feature cooked-to-perfection homemade pasta with Caruso’s own time-honored recipe for a sweet tangy tomato sauce.

There are also lots of great Italian dishes featuring Caruso’s fresh baked pizza crusts and breads. Full Italian dinners are always a hit at Caruso’s too, many of which are family recipes from Pete’s native Sicily, where good food is a tradition.

“Our veal and chicken Marsala are very popular,” says Pete, adding that they have delicious homemade soups, great salads and even low-calorie dinners.

Caruso’s has it all, including appetizers, salads, subs, cheesesteaks, stromboli, calzone, soups, hot sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, panini, wraps, pasta dishes, veal, chicken, seafood, desserts, pizza and children’s choices.

Each day there are lunch and dinner specials, plus pizza specials. The daily lunch specials are priced right and include subs, sandwiches, burgers, pizza and more. The dinner specials are another great way to save, with great deals on pasta and traditional favorites.

Happy Hour is from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and the full bar has wine, beer and cocktails, which are perfect with appetizers, such as chicken wings, calamari, peel and eat shrimp, breaded mushrooms and more.

Whenever you’re in the mood for great Italian food, come to Caruso’s at 2036 Main Street, Rothsville. Caruso’s is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., closed on Monday.
