Werdum says he has four more fights left on his UFC contract. After he finishes his UFC contract, Werdum says he wants to fight one last time for Ramzan Kadyrov’s MMA promotion.

Kadyrov, the leader of the Chechen Republic, received a lot of criticism from the MMA community last year after he had his young sons compete in MMA fights. He sons were ages eight, nine, and ten at the time.

Werdum is coming off a decision victory over Travis Browne in September. He has been clamoring for a rematch and title opportunity against UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. However, there are rumors former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos will receive the next title opportunity and fight Miocic at UFC 211 in May.

Werdum was scheduled to fight former champion Cain Velasquez in December. However, the fight didn’t take place due to Velasquez being forced to withdraw from the fight, just days before it was scheduled to take place, due to a back injury.
