Raja Rani Telugu movie review:
Raja Rani is the dubbed Telugu version of hit romantic comedy Tamil movie of the same namesake. The movie is directed and written by debutant Atlee and produced by AR Murugadoss in association with Fox Star Studios. Arya and Nayantara are cast in the lead roles while Jai, Nazriya Nazim, Santhanam and Sathyaraj appear in supporting roles. Now, lets begin our movie review.
In Raja Rani director Atlee portrays the story of a newly married couple and their daily struggles. John (Arya) and Regina (Nayanthara) gets married just to make their parents happy. They hate each other and at every conceivable moment tries to irritate each other. The film shows the problems and ego clashes they have between them. In the movie we also get to know about their relationship and relationship with their past in which Regina loved Surya and John loved Keerthana.
Director Atlee has done a great job in developing the plot of the movie, such is his mastery that he manages to keep us interested for the entire 2hrs and 45 minutes. He has manage to show the same old theme of forced arranged marriage in a completely new refreshing way. The acting performance of the lead actors Arya and Nayanthara is also very good. They seamlessly slip into their characters and deliver a powerful performance. The music by G. V. Prakash Kumar nicely compliments the flow of the movie. The only issue with the movie is that the second half is bit predictable and slow. Nevertheless, Raja and Rani is an entertaining and delightful movie to watch.
