Following its premiere last week, James Blunt has released the music video for his new single Love Me Better.

The track is the first to be taken from James’ forthcoming album The Afterlove, due for release on 24th March 2017 through Atlantic Records. Love Me Better is produced by Ryan Tedder and puts a modern pop finish to James’ distinctive sound.

In the video James is seen singing in his car and hanging about in a club on his own while people express their individuality around him. The song and video are full of James’ self-deprecating humour.

The Afterlove is the follow-up to James’ platinum-selling album Moon Landing, which spent 33 weeks in the UK Top 40 after its release in 2013. For the album James worked with a wide range of talent when writing and recording ‘The Afterlove’ including Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder, Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Shannon Saunders), Johnny McDaid (Example, Biffy Clyro), Stephan Moccio (Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd) and MoZella (Miley Cyrus, One Direction).

Later this year James will be embarking on a UK headline tour, kicking off in November 2017.
