An authorized Notorious B.I.G. documentary is finally in the works.

Announced on Monday during the Berlin International Film Festival, “Notorious B.I.G.: One More Chance” will be directed by Emmett Malloy and Brendan Malloy, and be produced by the late rapper’s mother Voletta Wallace.

The announcement comes ahead of the 20-year anniversary of Biggie’s murder in a drive-by shooting on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles.

According to Variety, the docu-flick will highlight the hip-hop legend’s musical influence and impact.

“It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher’s music has made such an impact on the music community,” Violetta Wallace said in a statement to Variety. “His stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and still influencing the youth all over the world today.”

The entertainment industry has taken on Biggie’s story since his death. In 2009, the authorized biopic, “Notorious,” was released and there’s a scripted TBS comedy series based on his lyrics forthcoming called “Think B.I.G.” His widow, Faith Evans, will release a duets album entitled “The King & I” on May 19.
