New chairs to Daya, Anoma, Akila and Kavinda - changes in the UNP
Today the 05th instant at the executive committee meeting of the United National Party held at the party headquarters several
changes were made.
Accordingly the post of senior chairman of the United National Party was created to which Minister Daya Gamage was appointed.The post of national organizer was scrapped.Hitherto the UNP's national organizer was Daya Gamage.
Minister Harin Fernando was appointed as the chairman of the national estate workers union.
Deputy minister Anoma Gamage was appointed as the chairperson of the UNP's Vanitha front.
Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam was named as the chairman of the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya.
Member of Parliament Kavinda Jayawardena was appointed as the chairman of the national youth front.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe remains as the leader of the United National Party.
