GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has concluded framework agreements for the transmission of gas with two new clients. The companies that have decided to expand their business activities to include trade in gas are GASPOL S.A. and NIDA MEDIA Sp z o.o.

GASPOL S.A. – whose shareholder is SHV Energy, a world leader on the LPG market – has been on the market since 1991 and is the largest distributor of liquefied gas (LPG) in Poland. In addition to selling autogas to companies and consumers, bottled gas and gas for storage tanks, the company specialises in supplying advanced energy generation technologies.

“Signing an agreement to transmit gas is a natural consequence of the strategy we are pursuing,” said Sylwester Śmigiel, the CEO of GASPOL S.A. “We were the first to offer customers microgeneration (mCHP) powered by liquefied gas, and we have also added LNG to our offering. Extending our business activity to include the sale of natural gas will enable GASPOL to guarantee its customers a comprehensive set of energy services,”  Śmigiel added.

NIDA MEDIA has also signed an agreement with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. The owners of this company, present on the market since 2006, are ATLAS Sp. z o.o. and Siniat Sp. z o.o. (previously Lafarge Gips Sp. z o.o.). From the beginning of its business activities it has sold electric power and serviced a local distribution system. It is also involved in extraction, treatment and distribution of water, sewage treatment and discharge of waste water and mine water. Extending its offering of services to include the sale of gas is an element of the company’s growth strategy.

”The growing gas market creates new growth opportunities for our company. We are planning to actively participate in transactions on the gas exchange and mediate in the purchase of gas for our customers. Our growth plans include the possibility of obtaining gas on neighbouring, more competitive markets, thanks to which we will be able to fully take advantage of our competencies – professional customer service and qualifications in the area of trade and distribution of power and gas,” said Wojciech Radej, CEO of NIDA MEDIA, in explaining why his company concluded a transmission contract with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.

Under the contract model proposed in the Transmission Network Code, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. signs transmission contracts with clients supplemented by a specific allocation of flow and transmission capacity. This model helps GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. to react flexibly to its clients’ transmission needs, meeting them on the basis of an entry-exit tariff.
