T. Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University (KazEU) is the leading economic university of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The university offers high-quality training and refresher courses in economics, finance, and management.
On May 16, 2014 the International Research and Practice Conference "Business Valuation: Problems and Prospects in Knowledge Economy" has taken place at KazEU. More than 100 guests from Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey, as well as the representatives of valuation chambers, commercial companies, and non-profit organizations of Kazakhstan have attended the Event. KazEU professors and students have also taken part in the conference presenting reports and poster papers.
Nikolai Y. Trifonov, Associate Professor of the BNTU Department "Valuation Activity in Transport and Industry" and the Honored Valuer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has represented the University and the country at the conference. Trifonov N.Y. has shared his experience in valuating Belarusian enterprises at the plenary meeting.
The themes featured at the Conference have been analyzed in 3 sections and a Roundtable "Valuation Activity: Present State, Development Prospects, and Regulatory Problems". During the Roundtable N.Y. Trifonov has spoken on financial mathematics for valuers desribing the BNTU teaching experience in this field.
N.Y. Trifonov has also successfully presented the BNTU educational services for foreign students. A number of prospective master’s students have expressed genuine interest in BNTU masters programs. Several students have even decided to choose the masters program in the speciality 1-27 81 02 "Valuation of Business and Assets of Industrial Enterprises".
In the course of the Conference, N.Y. Trivonov has participated in fruitful talks on cooperation possibilities with S.S. Tamenova, Vice-Rector for Science of KazEU, and Prof. Zhankubaev B.A., Head of the Department "Logistics and Valuation Activity" of Kazakh National Technical University after K.I. Satpayev.
The Conference has resulted in adopting the resolution on refresher courses for the staff and the development prospects for valuation activity.
