Hello everyone, yay so excited that I've got some new exciting beauty products to talk to you all about. Yipee so I got paid the other day and I wanted to make myself feel better about the masses of work that i've got to do so I decided to treat myself to some high end beauty products. I've only ever had a lipgloss from Dior but I know that everyone swears by their foundations so I thought i'd give it a go. I went to the counter in Debenhams and to my surprise, there was 15% off everything, which is a complete bonus as the products are on the expensive side. The lady was lovely and sat me down to match my foundation, I explained that I wanted a medium coverage, something that I could build but also something that has a matte finish as I hate shiny foundations. She showed me a few different colours on my hand and asked me to choose which tone looks most like the foundation that I usually wear, I chose the one with the yellow underbase rather than a pinky underbase as I wear fake tan so I like my foundation to be warm. So, what did I leave the store with...

Aaah so I ended up getting a foundation and a powder as well, because with 15% off I just thought why not, also I just really wanted to get some stuff to test out for my readers, yes you, reading now, I love you! I've got to say, the foundation is absolutely perfect. It was meant to be £31.00 and with 15% this made it quite reasonable, my foundation from MAC is £21.00 so it will be interesting to see how long this lasts, I've got to say though that I don't use half as much of this foundation, you only need like two pumps for a really good coverage. The actual case and packaging itself is absolutely gorgeous, it just looks amazing in my make up bag, I think i'm addicted.  This is called the 'flawless perfection fusion wear make up' and it has an SPF of 25 so it protects your skin from the elements, this is important in the winter when the sun is lower and therefore, theres a lot of UV rays which hit your skin and age you, it's really important to have SPF in your foundation.

The powder is equally as gorgeous, I absolutely love the compact case that it comes in, it's a deep blue colour and says DIOR on it, I sometimes think DIOR can be quite tacky, but this is easily the most classy compact that i've ever seen. In terms of the powder itself, I will have to use it more before I can give you an honest opinion on this product. I am disappointed though because this product is £36.00, which is more expensive than the foundation (i'm not sure why an accessory to foundation should be more expensive than the base itself!?) but I went for it anyway because I really wanted to trial it for you girls. When I opened it I expected that you would get a lot more in the case than I did, I wish that half of it wasn't taken up by a make up sponge which is pointless as I will use a make up brush to apply it. I love the packaging of this product though and I think the woman said it is only around £21.00 to replace the powder, you just keep the same compact, so that makes it the same price as MAC.

You can see the packaging above, just two beautiful products, even the bag that the items came in is to die for. Dior products would make extremely beautiful gifts for any make up lover. I want to try the whole collection. This is my first ever shot at really high end make up products and I am really impressed. A full review of the items will be coming very soon.

Have you used any DIOR products? Do you want to?

Lots of love, Em xxx
