2013-10-07

It's that time of the month again, time for me to lust after everything in the world. I'm pretty impressed with how long my wishlist is this month, probably my longest to date but it's fine, a girl can dream right? So here we go, my wishlist for October, a month which excites me a lot, we say hello to Halloween and before we know it, it'll be Christmas. Ugg boots and chunky knits at the ready...

New Clothes (desperately) – Okay so a slight exaggeration as I have far too many clothes, but there's still always room for some more. I recently stumbled
across the Style Me If You Can pop up cinema in Trinity Leeds. I got really
excited when I saw it and little did I know, it was in association with
Warehouse. I’ve got to be honest and say that I’ve never shopped at Warehouse
in my life but I wanted to add this to my wishlist because every single item on
the Style Me If You Can look-book blew me away. Recently I’ve been looking
everywhere for fashion inspiration and when I came across these looks I got a
little bit excited. You can watch the campaign here and see what I’m talking
about (this is in no way sponsored, I literally walked past the van with my
boyfriend and decided there and then that I needed every outfit that I saw on their promo video). I'm loving MissSelfridge as always too, everything is far too nice but the pricing is just a little bit too much for a high street store. I discovered Zalando on Unidays recently as they're giving students 15% off, I've seen some amazing berry coloured items that I must get my hands on this Winter - October gives me an excuse to buy Winter clothes. Bring on the chunkyness!

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation – If this
foundation is good enough for Tanya Burr it’s good enough for me. Tanya Burr (who I have had the pleasure to meet quite a few times!) always looks immaculate, her skin is particularly flawless and I know that she loves this foundation so I must try it and steal her look. I am loving
trying out new foundations at the moment, I’m still hooked on my Dior Foreverfoundation and Vichy Dermablend, I feel like these are the two best foundations
that I have come across, however, so many people rave about Nars Sheer Glow so
I need to try it for myself, as a matter of urgency.

Tom Ford Beauty – I recently visited the
Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool and instantly fell in love with the
Tom Ford Beauty concession. I feel like the worlds worst beauty blogger because
I have never bought anything from Tom Ford Beauty, it is my goal to purchase
some must-have items this Winter from Tom Ford.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lashes Mascara – I
recently saw a blogger review this (sorry I read so many blogs so can’t
remember who do let me know if it was you!) and oh wow her eye lashes looked
incredible. I’ve always been a huge fan of L’Oreal and recently reviewed their Telescopic mascara which is just out of this world.

Soap And Glory Spray On Moisturiser –
again, whilst reading my favourite blogs, I stumbled across a review of Soap
And Glory’s spray on moisturiser.  I am
so lazy when it comes to moisturiser, probably because I’m always really cold
and I hate feeling cold when I get out of the shower, so I want moisturising to
be quick and easy. Apparently you spray this on and it pretty much instantly
absorbs into the skin, which is perfect for me. I have recently been using Soap
and Glory’s Morning Breakfast Scrub and if it smells even half as delicious as
that, I will quickly become hooked to this product.

A Burberry Scarf -  I have wanted a Burberry scarf for quite some
time now, ever since I saw my beautiful friend Scarlett London wearing one on
our girls trip to Paris. I just wish they were priced a little bit lower, but
this is on my Winter hit-list. I need a lottery win.

A Diptyque Candle AND Perfume – I want
one of each simply because they look so stunning in a bathroom/in your bedroom and I know that they smell divine as well. I love the design of these and so many bloggers rave about them, they can’t be
wrong can they?

A New Purse – I am desperate for a new
purse. I’ve had my eye on a Mulberry for years but there are too many fake
Mulberry’s around and it really puts me off buying one for people to assume that it’s a replica. Instead, I’d love a YSL purse or an Aspinal. Aspinal is my new
favourite brand, loved by Mollie King, you’re in good company if you have a
cheeky leather Aspinal accessory. Brand Boudoir a favourite website of mine for discounted designer items have the most incredible Michael Kors purse on sale at the moment (as pictured above) - £80.00 instead of £130.00 which makes it very reasonable for a Micheal Kors. I am so tempted to treat myself to this one.

Some Ugg Leather Boots – I desperately
want some knee high leather boots and these ones by Ugg are perfect for the
cold winter months, I’m really glad that Ugg don’t just do furry boots now, I still need to keep my toes warm but I want to do that in a fashionable way, bring on some gorgeous new leather boots (with sheep skin interior, of course).

Dior Spray On Foundation – Oh I am
obsessed with my Dior Forever Foundation so when I heard about their Spray on
Foundation I knew that I needed to put this at the top of my wishlist. I wonder if it’s any
good? I'd love to know if anyone has tried this...

Perfume - Eeek I need some new perfume desperately, my supplies always run out close to Christmas. I am lusting over Jour D'Hermes but cannot find it at a reasonable price anywhere. I then thought I may as well treat myself to something that's going to brighten up my room and bring the sunshine back. Then I stumbled across Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers Eau De Toilette, it's fresh, bright and a really happy feel-good-fragrance (assuming that a fragrance can be feel-good). The plus side? After a lot of googling, I found it for only £12.99 from beautybase.com which is just incredibly good - you can thank me later when you've found all your Christmas presents for half the price on this site. I think all my friends will be getting a bottle of this now, it would be rude not to when it's priced so well.

New Leggings - You may have seen me moaning on Twitter recently about see through leggings, why do companies fail to make thick leggings?! I always tend to steer towards more expensive leggings as my friend had some from Primark which were horribly see through. I recently paid quite a lot for some from Topshop and they were exactly the same, you could see my whole behind, which erm, isn't a great look. Instead, whilst on the hunt for good leggings, I came across the 'Falke Cotton Touch Leggings' photographed above from Luxury Legs, for £20.00, they're not as expensive as the ones that I usually buy from American Apparel, but they'll still be good quality. I'm turning into a leggings snob if that exists, but no-one wants people to be able to see their underwear.

A new laptop case - Even though September is usually the start of new beginnings for most, at my Uni, we only really got back to work in October so it's only just hit me that I need to go stationary shopping (soooo exciting, I am such a stationary keeno). Unfortunately, I'll be buying all of my stuff from Whsmith or Tesco, but a girl can dream and whilst I do love my Marc Jacobs laptop case, I would love to buy some leather accessories from Hervia. Particularly the pattern print iPad case from the Rick Owens collection. At £270 I just need to buy my lottery ticket first.

What are you wishing for this October? Is there anything that you need in your life? Do you like the sound of anything on my wishlist? Have you tried anything on my wishlist?
Lots of love, Em x
