The newest senior living community – The Crossings

Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) is unveiling its newest senior living community – The Crossings is designed for active older adults. The completion of this expansive development, located at 255 North Egret Bay Boulevard, will serve up to 300 residents, with a wide range of amenities and services.

“We are proud to bring this incredible new lifestyle option to seniors in the League City area. This community celebrates their social energy and their intellectual spirit, all in a beautiful and engaging atmosphere,” said Ron Jennette, President and Chief Executive Officer of MRC and The Crossings. “With the addition of The Crossings, we are continuing to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the future of senior living and to the community at large.”

MRC will dedicate its distinctive new Life Care community during a grand opening celebration starting with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 7. Media is welcome to attend this event. Community leaders, including Mayor Pat Hallisey and County Judge Mark Henry, will commemorate The Crossings and welcome residents to League City’s only Life Care retirement destination. The Crossings will then welcome guests to attend an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on that same day.

“The Crossings epitomizes the energy and cultural vibrancy we love about League City, while also adding to the growth and development of the region,” said Harold Ermshar, Executive Director for The Crossings.

The Crossings, located on a nearly 19-acre campus at 255 North Egret Bay Boulevard, near the intersection of FM 270 (Egret Bay) and FM 518, offers 116 independent living apartments, 34 assisted living apartments, 24 memory support suites, 28 skilled nursing suites and 20 dedicated rehab suites. As League City’s only Life Care community, it offers residents a worry-free lifestyle by providing maintenance-free living, with access to graduating levels of health services and on-site residential options at predictable rates.

“Today’s active adults are seeking lifestyle amenities that complement the vibrant lives they are choosing to lead,” said Ermshar. “The Crossings brings together all these elements, including personalized amenities, a healthy lifestyle, continuing education offerings, and a variety of social activities, all designed to create a popular retirement destination for area seniors, nestled within a beautiful landscape.”

The Crossings offers residents freedom from the burdens of homeownership, which allows residents to focus on what’s really important to them. Residents of The Crossings will enjoy a bistro, a dining room and a private dining room, along with a fitness center, swimming pool and various activity options to encourage a social and engaging lifestyle.
