I regularly tell people that I’m ‘trying to have it all’ in life. What I mean is that I’m trying to work full time and have the career that I want, while simultaneously giving my smurf the ‘stay-at-home-mom’ experience (read: I don’t have full time childcare). The result is that I’m stretched to the max, every single day. So, I have learned some secrets in the last three years of how to make sure I can keep going, even when I’m trying to be superhuman (I’ll achieve it one day, I’m sure!).

My main issue is fatigue, since my smurf has mega sleep issues, and I’m caffeine free (not by choice), so to boost my energy, I drink Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS) every day, and also take a B-12 supplement. If I skip either one, I notice a huge difference in how I feel by 3pm.

Fatigue has also always affected my skin (dark circles, break-outs), and since I am A) a beauty expert and B) on camera, I need for my skin not to be freaking out! So I do weekly DIY facials, which I tailor to my current skin concern that week–break-outs, dullness, etc.

But enough about me. I also chatted with some total superwomen who impress me on a daily basis with their tenacity, success and beauty–and got their tips for how they maintain their superwoman status every day. Read on, and learn from the best!

Mally Roncal

The founder of Mally Beauty, Mally is the coolest ever, and between helming a beauty empire, appearing on QVC in the US and UK, regularly sharing her makeup tips on The Today Show, Bethenny, Rachael Ray and with magazines like Redbook, she is one busy lady. And, oh yes, she’s a mom, too! So how does this superwoman keep herself going and sane in the middle of it all?

Kale and push-ups.

“I am obsessed with kale! I love making kale chips in the oven with a little olive oil and kosher salt, and I also drink smoothies with coconut milk, mango juice, banana, mango, pineapple, protein powder, greens, Vitamin C and more kale,” she shares.

“At least twice a day – I even set an alarm! – everyone at the office and I stop whatever we’re doing and do 10 walk out push-ups. It’s just enough to get the adrenaline running and our energy level up!”

Alli Webb

Alli is the founder of the original blowout-only salon, Drybar–a genius idea that Alli conceived as a stay-at-home mom who gave her friends blowouts for extra cash. Extra cash turned into a mobile business, which turned into one salon in California, which turned into 35 salons (and counting!) across the U.S. Besides running a chain of the coolest concept salons ever, she also regularly gives her tips to magazines and television shows and yes, has two kiddos at home. So how does this super cool entrepreneur keep her sanity every day?

Balance and exercise.

“I think it’s all about balancing the things I personally need like getting my exercise in and spending good, quality time with my boys. I firmly believe taking care of yourself is the key to keeing your sanity when you have a crazy schedule like mine,” Alli says.

“Barry’s Boot Camp is my new obsession – hands down the best workout I’ve ever done. I go 3-4 times a week. When I’m traveling (which is a lot these days), and there’s not a Barry’s, I will go for a run. I also try to squeeze in Thai massages, mani/pedis and of course blowouts as often as I can to feel rejuvenated and pampered!”

Meaghan Murphy

As the Deputy Editor of Self magazine, Meaghan is not only a total badass when it comes to working out (she’s a certified fitness instructor), she’s also the bravest woman ever, because she shared her post-partum weightloss journey on Twitter–twice! In addition to all the duties of a deputy editor at a major women’s mag (read: a lot), she is also an inspirational work-out lover (she shares tips on Twitter), and the mom of three little ones! So how does she juggle it all and stay looking and feeling fab (besides major work-out dedication, of course!)?

Babysitters, gel manis and Rodan and Fields.

“All is right with my world when my nails look good, and gel manis can withstand kettlebell workouts and dish washing,” shares Meaghan.

“Babysitters…but not for date nights (although I love my hubby!)–for work outs! I hire a responsible high school kid to travel with me to my Sunday soccer games to watch my two toddlers on the sidelines while I play. The newborn stays home with my husband.”

“Rodan and Fields Redefine kit. It’s like Proactiv for Type A, non-teenagers. I love that it’s one comprehensive system that cleanses, moisturizers and offers sun protection and anti-aging benefits without a whole lot of thinking.”

June Ambrose

I am in awe of stylist to the stars, fashion influencer, social media goddess and mom June Ambrose. Absolute awe. I have regularly wondered how she accomplishes everything she does in the same 24 hours a day that I work with, and picking her brain about the subject was so much fun! So what is her secret?

Time management, cooking, weekly hair appointments and meditation.

“It’s all about managing time and knowing that it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I like to get to the finish line, but when I don’t get all 15 things on the list done, I don’t get defeated,” says June.

“I wake up at 4:30am, meditate for half an hour, look at social media, which for me is a place for peace of mind. It’s a place I can share and control, because at the end of the day, as a parent, you can’t control a lot of things. But I can control what and how I share, and how I take care of my body.”

“Cooking, while I do it for my family, is my time as well, because I enjoy it. If I know I won’t get home in time to cook at night, I cook in the morning and then just reheat it when we get home.”

“I have a standing, weekly hair appointment. It helps me feel beautiful throughout the week and like I can take on the challenges in life. I found a 24 hour hair and nail salon, so I can get my hair washed at midnight before a 7am flight if I need to.”
