This week we pay tribute to a man that needs no introduction, designer Jaime Hayon. The Spanish creative has blessed mankind with his creative works for decades, teaching us that design doesn’t always have to be so serious.

Born in Madrid in 1974, Hayon studied industrial design in Madrid and Paris before joining Fabrica, the Benetton-funded design and communication academy in Italy where he directed the design department. In 2000 Hayon started his own studio and has grown it to one the most acclaimed studios in the world.

We’ve collected together some of our most loved projects by Hayon, and shared them for you below. Enjoy, and be inspired whether you are designing, decorating or just looking to liven up your Pinterest boards.

NEW ROMAN FOR PAOLA C

New Roman for Paola C

New Roman for Paola C presents a vision of classical tradition advancing into the 21st century. Inspired by the vessels of the Roman Empire, this collection transforms antique references into a celebration of contemporary craft. The collection finely balances sophisticated forms with touches of humour.

AFGHAN FOLKLORE FOR NODUS

Afghan Folklore for Nodus

I hope to bring happiness to living spaces with the joyful imagery of Afghan folklore and the craftsmanship of the country’s artisans.
