Out From Africa

#OFA2013 is a 3-day street fashion show and exhibition in Pretoria.

Are you a developing designer without funds and access to our major fashion weeks?

The Pretoria OUT FROM AFRICA (OFA) Street Fashion Show gives the ordinary youth a chance to be on the same kind of runway platform as the big players!



OFA provides activities and opportunities for up and coming street designers to meet principal designers, celebrities, musical talent, media and fashion buyers.

Activities at the show include:

Street designer fashion shows and designer previews.

Live entertainment including after parties each night with big name artists and local musicians.

Business of fashion seminars and talks.

Photography, interiors, accessories, arts & crafts and hair shows.

Gugulethu Beer & Whiskey Festival

Enjoy a fusion of the finest beers and whiskeys at the Gugulethu Beer & Whiskey Festival. From 30 November to 1 December people from all walks of life will come together to celebrate local passion and creativity at Mzoli’s in Cape Town. Keep an eye out for local performers Mahoota vs Vetkuk, Oskido and Busiswa.

Summer Concerts at the Water’s Edge

These free acoustic music performances featuring well-known names offer wonderful views and tunes that will get you into the festive groove. Taking place during the whole month of November, spend you summer evenings watching the yachts pull in at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront while listening to great acoustic sets.

Wavescape Surf Film Festival, Cape Town

Surf-inspired art exhibitions, outdoor movie screenings and slide nights – that’s the lineup for Wavescape and it lands in Cape Town from 27 November to 16 December. Set at various places throughout Cape Town, the festival presents a range of film, music and art events all geared at promoting ocean conservation and, of course, creating a killer experience for beach bums.
