We loved being able to put a little of Rihanna’s style in our closet this year – but it’s just been announced that Rihanna’s festival season collaboration with River Island will be her last… and she’s going out with a bang.

The farewell collection features stylish party pieces that are perfect for festive celebrations. It’s signature Rihanna with bold patterns, contrasting textures, bright glitter and figure-hugging materials. Casual pieces like bomber jackets and denim jumpsuits allude to the star’s tomboy tendencies. The collection definitely embodies Rihanna’s style and we can easily imagine Riri wearing them.

The collection also features a Limited Edition edit: only 100 pieces are being made of items like the black leather trousers, the snakeskin embossed bra top, and the faux-fur trucker hats.

‘They gave me the creative freedom to do whatever I wanted to,’ the singer says of her collaboration with the brand.

Rihanna’s first collection for River Island was revealed at London Fashion Week in February this year. It was created with the help of her costume designer, Adam Selman. The collaboration has helped increase River Island’s international profile and celebrity fans of Rihanna’s pieces include Serena Williams and Cara Delevingne.

‘We’ve had an amazing year working with Rihanna,’ comments Bernard Lewis, the brand’s CEO. ‘She’s been an inspiration for our creative teams to work with and we’ve been constantly impressed by the amount of time and energy she’s invested in the project.’

The collection goes on sale on 7 November.
