The much-anticipated Grammy Awards Ceremony returned this past weekend hitting 2014 with a serious dose of red-carpet style envy.

The #ELLEBelles watched with starry eyes as the who’s who of the music world made their way down the red carpet. Here’s our roundup of the best dressed from the night.

1. Miss Osbourne, who wore a black Badgley Mischka dress with embellished shoulder pads, rocked the Grammy’s in true Kelly style. The singer tweeted her admiration for her father during the event and wore his cross necklace stylishly slung across her back.

2. Miley Cyrus surprised us all, in a good way this time, by wearing a more feminine outfit to the Pre Grammy Awards party. The young star rocked a Calvin Klein coat that boasted the season’s biggest trend: pink.  We love this look on her, and thank goodness she’s ditched the bowl cut for a pretty, platinum blonde pixie cut. Not bad, Miley.

3. Kacey Musgrave, who attended the event for the first time, was all smiles in her tiered Armani Privé dress. The singer looked elegant with a soft low bun and sweeping wide fringe. Musgrave beat Taylor Swift and won the award for Best Country Album.

4. Colbie Callait opted for a bold and bright Ezra Santos red dress with sultry low-back detail, which she paired with Claude Morady 1930’s vintage diamonds. The singer, who was nominated in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category for her song We Both Know, looked fierce and vivacious.

5. Natasha Bedingfield’s outfit choice was refreshing – a boho meets kimono design in candy coloured orange by Christian Siriano. We loved her blunt fringe cut and gold Samantha Wills’s cuffs – the perfect finishes for a laid-back yet glamorous look.

6. Funny girl Anna Kendrick opted for a pastel purple and embellished Azzaro number, paired with metallic Barbara Bui heels. The 28-year-old actress, who presented at the awards, showed off a sexier side with her side-slit and triangular cleavage detail.

7. Iggy Azalea looked ethereal in an embroidered, white sleeveless Elie Saab number. The sassy Australian actress and model shone with light pink lips, rose blush and stylish, slicked-back hair.

8. Katy Perry was the queen of the Grammy’s and showed off not one but four dresses during the course of the evening and at the after party. Our favourite? Katy’s Valetino gown – the perfect balance between classic and edgy. The musical notes on the tulle trail gave it the comic look that Grammy gowns are notorious for.

9. Singer Ciara was walking proof that you can still look a million bucks while preggers. The singer, who got engaged in October last year, floated down the red carpet in a bronze Emilio Pucci gown. We love how Ciara wears the gilded, rose gold dress with a nearly nude face and pearlescent nail varnish.

10. Taylor Swift was the epitome of ‘Grammy princess’ in a sparkling Gucci gown. Her hair was gently pulled back in a mid-rise ponytail and her make-up was soft with metallic hues. Swift kept her accessories to a minimum expect for elegant drop, diamond earrings.

11. Rita Ora shimmered in a lime green Lanvin dress. Metallics will forever be the favourite for party selections and Rita wears the trend well with a gold box clutch and  retro old Hollywood curls.

12. Beyoncé Knowles turned heads this year in a Michael Costello, sheer lace gown. We love her new ombre bob but what about that bod? The dress fit her like a glove and shows off a perfectly toned figure. The singer and her hubby Jay Z, opened the awards ceremony with their new song Drunk In Love – it was more than a memorable performance.
