For a few weeks now I’ve been itching to share the details of this particularly exciting project with you lovely lot so I’m THRILLED to announce that today, I finally can! You’re no doubt all painfully aware of my feelings about Louis Vuitton; “love” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Even if I haven’t tweeted about it (unlikely) you can probably guess how I feel about Selfridges Shoe Galleries AKA Central London’s biggest, best and generally dreamiest footwear destination. When a press release arrived in my inbox announcing that the Parisian harbinger of all things covetable would be opening it’s very own shoe salon within the galleries I whacked the opening date in my iCal toute suite, determined to be among the first to ogle the space not to mention LV’s exclusive design for Selfridges. Naturally, I expected both the salon and the limited edition style to be fabulous. What I was not expecting however, was Louis Vuitton to invite me to take part in the project.
Louis Vuitton’s Exclusive Selfridges Shoe, available in store only
To celebrate the launch of the Selfridges Shoe Salon, Louis Vuitton’s social media savvy team decided to pique people’s interest with a twitter competition. As you might have spotted, so the past week of so the brand have been tweeting images of their delectable Pre Fall shoes in front of iconic London landmarks, showing them from a “shoe perspective” and ending up in a particularly chic city spot. Anyone who guessed one of the locations could also tweet their answer using the hashtag #LVShoes adding an element of competition. Well, in case you were wondering who’s pasty pins starred in the snaps they were… MINE! Sorry for the excessive use of capitals and exclamation marks but like the landmarks, LV wanted to keep my identity a mystery until all the clues had been revealed, and it’s taken supreme self control not to dance down the street shouting “Louis Vuitton is tweeting pictures of me”. Even more exciting is the fact I can now share the full shoot featuring looks I styled from the beautiful beyond belief Pre Fall 2014 collection.
So without further ado I’m going to utter a sentence I never in a million years would have dreamed I’d get to say, check out my shoot for Louis Vuitton and Selfridges…
Wearing monogrammed Velvet Smoking Slippers at the Peter Pan Garden in Hyde Park
Wearing the Glam Rock Ankle Boot at Big Ben
Wearing the Oh Really pump in Patent Calf at the London Eye
Wearing the Lipstick Pump at the Tate Modern
Thank you Louis Vuitton and Selfridges for inviting me into your world of wonder and giving me the opportunity to spend a day in outfits so goddamn gorgeous I frequently fantasise about owning them!
Try as I might, I physically can’t decide which outfit I adore the most! Do you have a fave?
Love Ella. X
