May 17 marked the end of Eric's 44th week.  He celebrated his cousin, Zeke's, 6th birthday that weekend.  He had a great time at his first pool party of the year!

Week 45 ended on May 24.  Eric decided to give us a scare on Memorial Day weekend.  On Saturday, the 24th, we took the kids to the park, and then came home for naptime.  When Eric woke up from his nap, he felt a little warm, but I thought it was just from being out in the sun.  He still acted really happy.  Later, Scott picked him up and asked if I thought he felt hot.  He did.  We took his temperature, and it was a little high, but nothing unusual.  We called the doctor, and the doctor said, "no more monkeys jumping on the bed."  Wait, wrong story!  The doctor said, "just give him Advil or Tylenol to keep him comfortable, but don't worry about waking him up to give it to him.  As long as he's sleeping, let him sleep and just give it to him when he wakes up."  That advice did not work for Eric.  On Monday morning, he woke up with a temperature of 103.9!  We called the doctor again, and he advised going to immediate care.  My mom said it should have been the ER.  Anyway, we took him to immediate care, and they couldn't find anything wrong with him.  They said to just keep giving him Advil and Tylenol, but to alternate them so the fever never had a chance to get that high again, and to follow up with his regular doctor on Tuesday.  I decided to also wake up every three hours on Monday night/Tuesday morning, so that Eric continued to get medicine.  I didn't want his fever to ever get that high again!  On Tuesday, his regular doctor diagnosed him with Roseola, which Adriana had.  He never did break out in a rash, but the fever went away, Adriana never got sick, and it appears that he was completely unharmed by the high fever.  Scary though!  Especially given our family history of febrile seizures (Quentin and Zeke).

Look how happy he is.  This was taken right after his nap, when he was already a little feverish.

May 31 marked the beginning of my summer vacation and the end of Eric's 46th week.  He is completely fever-free, and he is looking forward to his first vacation!  (Trivia question:  What is my favorite outfit of Eric's?  I swear these pictures were taken a week after the previous set.)

Kisses!

Eric spent his 47th week in Walt Disney World!  We left on June 3 and returned on June 10, so these pictures were taken a few days late.  I think he'll forgive me.  I was lucky enough to have an assistant for this photo shoot.

And finally, week 48.  Eric is now 11 months old!  This week's photo shoot got a little rough, but I promise no children were harmed in the process.  I can't guarantee that the same can be said for monsters.

Eric has learned to do so much this month!  He says "hi," claps, waves, and shows that he's "SO big!"  We're working on showing that he's one.  He does it sometimes, but not all of the time.  Yesterday, he said bye-bye.  He LOVES to play peek-a-boo.  Sometimes he covers his eyes, sometimes he covers his head, but it is his favorite game.  He could play for hours.  Well...minutes, but that's a long time for Eric.

Here are all of the milestones he's reaches as of right now:

says mama and dada (but not all the time)

claps his hands

waves hi and bye-bye

bangs two cubes together

puts objects into containers and then takes them out

cruises furniture

walks with adult help

interested in books

understands some simple commands

shares toys but wants them back

pulls off hat and socks

identifies self in mirror (he's so funny when he sees himself!)

We love our sweet Eric!
