The bespoke suit company has opened its first international studio in the Big Apple. Way to go

Back in the March issue, we joked that EB tech columnist David Hathiramani’s brief hiatus may have been down to him becoming an international man of mystery. Well, it looks as though we weren’t too wide of the mark: the online tailoring company Hathiramani co-founded with Warren Bennett has launched its first international studio on Park Avenue, New York City. Swit swoo.

Since the launch of A Suit That Fits six years ago, the business has taken the UK by storm, revolutionising the tailoring industry by making bespoke tailored garments available at high street prices. Initially launched as the world’s first online tailoring company, and then deciding to launch bricks and mortar studios to complement the internet offering, the business has now grown to more than 30 locations in the UK.

It’s no surprise that the US was the obvious choice to open the company’s first studio overseas, as co-founder Bennett explained. “10% of our business currently comes from the US market online, so it was a natural move to launch our first studio outside of the UK in America.”
