The Federal Inland Revenue Service said it had sealed some companies in Lagos, Abuja and Asaba, the Delta State capital over unremitted taxes running into N715m.
FIRS said in a statement on Monday that the sealing of the companies followed its renewed efforts at enforcement of tax regimes.
It identified the companies it sealed as Urban Shelter Limited in Abuja, Venro Energy Limited in Lagos, Enegas in Lagos and Davnotch Nigeria Limited in Asaba.
FIRS said it sealed Urban Shelter Limited located at Shippers Plaza in the Wuse Zone 5 Area of Abuja for its failure to remit accumulated tax arrears of N637m for the period between 2008 and 2016.
Venro Energy Limited, situated at 250b, Ikorodu Crescent on Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, was said to have been sealed for a tax debt of N29m, while the office of Enegas, situated at 14 Oladipo Diya Street, 2nd Avenue Estate in Ikoyi was sealed for a tax debt of N15m.
