The congress was attended by 268 of national and international delegates from Australia,

UK, USA. The congress brought together leading international and domestic players, policy makers, government officials and technocrats on a common platform. The concurrent conference sessions were comprised of interesting workshops, interactive panel discussions on “Green Corridors for Sustainable Tomorrow”, “Finance and Investment Opportunities in

The main features of the resolutions adopted in the congress are:
· The development of Green Energy Corridors for utilization of surplus renewable energy generation is a prerequisite for enhanced renewable energy capacity addition and effective utilization across regional and national electricity systems. These corridors should be developed simultaneously with the installation of renewable energy capacities.
· There is a need for urgent development of storage technologies, pumped storage facilities and other methods for harnessing renewable energy surplus generation during off peak hours. For off-grid applications more durable, reliable and cost effective batteries are the need of the day. A Road Map for development of appropriate storage technologies is desirable.
· The potential of utilizing solar thermal technology for steam augmentation in fossil fuel power plants requires urgent consideration.
· Renewable Energy Certificates need to be made flexible with respect to different renewable energy forms. These would then act as attractive financial instruments.
· The financing of renewable energy projects needs a special policy directive by Reserve Bank of India for specific sector priority status in view of the social, environmental and other benefits of these projects.
