Emerson Network Power has added to its portfolio of 60W convection cooled, open-frame, AC-DC power supplies with the NPS64-M. This 15V DC output supply can be adjusted by plus or minus 20 per cent and can deliver up to 4A. Its full load operating temperature range is zero to 50°C and it can be used up to 80°C with de-rating.
Units are supplied with a range of worldwide IT equipment (ITE) and non-patient contact and non-patient critical medical safety approvals. Its 51 by 102mm footprint and height of 26mm make it ideal for use in light industrial, instrumentation and process systems, as well as in low-power dental and laboratory equipment. An optional enclosure kit is available for protection.
The NPS64-M has a peak efficiency of 90 per cent and meets various energy efficiency standards, including International Efficiency Level V and Energy Star 2.0, as well as being California Energy Commission (CeC) compliant. It features a universal input voltage range of 90 to 264V AC and is capable of operating from a 127 to 300V DC input. The NPS64-M has a maximum input power requirement of less than 74W and a no-load power consumption of less than 300mW.
