PJ Harvey has revealed that she will be recording her new album as part of an art exhibition at London’s Somerset House.

The solo star’s “Recording in Progress” project will feature one-way glass allowing viewers to watch the singer and her band record the LP.

Speaking to The Independent about the project, Harvey said: “I want ‘Recording in Progress’ to operate as if we’re an exhibition in a gallery. I hope visitors will be able to experience the flow and energy of the recording process.”

“Recording in Progress” will run from January 16 to February 14, but tickets have already sold out according to the venue website.

Harvey’s long-time collaborators Flood and John Parish will be producing the music recorded during the public sessions.
